Pine, hardwood and composite decks built on solid foundations for coastal Auckland. Pine decks from $350 per m².
“Service always, Relationship Forever.”
A good deck turns a sloping or unused part of your section into the room you’ll spend the most time in over summer. A poor one goes spongy, cups and starts to move within a few years. Nearly every deck problem we’re called to fix comes down to what’s underneath: piles that aren’t deep enough, the wrong timber treatment in the ground, joists spaced too far apart, or fixings that rust in the salt air.
We design and build new decks, replace tired ones and rebuild decks as part of a bigger outdoor project, from Devonport and Takapuna up to Browns Bay, Long Bay, Albany, Greenhithe, Silverdale and Whangaparāoa. Every job starts with a free measure and a clear written quote, and you deal directly with the team who builds it.
Fully insured, with a 2-year workmanship warranty and 65+ five-star Google reviews. Many clients pair a new deck with a retaining wall, a new fence or a full garden renovation.
H5-treated piles concreted in at the right depth for the deck height and our North Shore clay, with H3.2 framing at the right spacing.
Stainless steel fixings near the sea and galvanised elsewhere, so you get no rust streaks or loose boards.
Fully insured, Site Safe members and backed by our Good Work Guarantee and 65+ five-star Google reviews.
We build decks to suit your budget, the look you want and how much upkeep you are happy to do.
The most popular choice in Auckland. Radiata pine treated to H3.2 is made for decking above ground and is the best value per square metre. It needs a stain or oil every year or two to stay looking good, but a well-built pine deck lasts a long time.
Made from wood fibre and plastic, composite boards don't need staining, won't splinter and hold their colour. They save hours of upkeep every year, which suits busy households, pool surrounds and rentals.
Hardwoods such as vitex and garapa are denser and harder-wearing than pine, with a rich colour that suits higher-end homes. Oil them to keep the colour, or let them weather to a silver grey. We use sustainably sourced timber.
Instead of timber bearers and joists, the deck sits on an aluminium frame that won't rot, warp or get eaten by borer. A great match for composite boards, low decks and damp spots where a timber frame would struggle.
A simple process, a fixed written quote, and the same team from start to finish.
We look at the site, the ground and how you want to use the space, and talk through board options.
A clear quote listing the size, timber, fixings and what's included, with any consent requirements flagged.
Piles concreted in, bearers and joists set level with the right spacing and airflow underneath.
Boards laid with the right gaps and fixings, then steps, balustrades and screens. Most decks take a few days to a couple of weeks.
We check everything with you, clean up, and give you care tips for your boards. Covered by our 2-year workmanship warranty.
Most of what makes a deck last is hidden once it’s finished. These are the things we never cut corners on.
We combine local expertise with premium craftsmanship to deliver decks that exceed expectations.
From straight board lines to sealed board ends and neat trims, we finish every deck properly and leave the site tidy.
Every deck is covered by our 2-year workmanship warranty and Good Work Guarantee. We are fully insured and Site Safe members.
We can build your deck as part of a bigger project with retaining walls, fencing, paving and planting, so everything fits together.
We keep you informed every step of the way with clear quotes, realistic timelines, and regular updates. No surprises, just honest communication you can trust.
"Service always, Relationship Forever" is our commitment. We are here for advice and future projects long after your deck is finished.
A deck generally doesn't need consent if no one could fall more than 1.5 m from it, and needs a balustrade once the fall is 1 m or more. We check what your deck needs before we quote.
Starting prices include GST and cover a ground-level deck on reasonable access. Height, sloping ground, steps, balustrades and removing an old deck add to the price.
We’ll look at your site, budget and how much upkeep you want, and recommend the right boards and frame. Free measure and written quote.

Pine decks start from $350 per m², hardwood and composite decks from $540 per m², and decks on an aluminium subframe from $620 per m², including GST, for a ground-level deck with reasonable access. Height, sloping ground, steps, balustrades and removing an old deck all add to the price. We give you a fixed written quote after a free measure.
Pine is the best value and lasts well with regular staining. Hardwood looks richer and wears harder but needs oiling. Composite needs almost no maintenance. An aluminium subframe underneath won’t rot or warp. The right choice depends on your budget, the look you want and how much upkeep you are happy to do.
Generally not, if no one could fall more than 1.5 metres from the deck even if it collapsed. The deck must still meet the Building Code, and a balustrade is required once the fall is 1 metre or more. Higher decks may need consent and engineering, so we check before quoting.
Most residential decks take a few days to a couple of weeks on site, depending on size, height, levels and extras like steps, balustrades and pergolas. We confirm a timeline with your quote.
Yes. We use H5 piles, H3.2 framing and stainless steel fixings near the sea, keep airflow under low decks and keep the deck clear of your cladding. A pine deck built this way can last 20 years or more with regular staining.
Yes. We check the piles and framing first. If the structure is sound, re-boarding can be good value. If the piles or joists are rotten, a full replacement is usually the better long-term option, and we explain why.
Send us a couple of photos of the area and roughly how big you want the deck, and we’ll book a free measure.
